  • YOUR PERSONAL EQUIPMENT CHECK LIST
    1. Packing
      1. pack with padded hip belt
      2. pack cover - waterproof nylon or large plastic bags
      3. plastic bags - assorted sizes
    2. Sleeping
      1. sleeping bag in waterproof bag lined with plastic bag
      2. sleep clothes - warn only in sleeping bag
      3. straps to hold sleeping bag on pack
      4. waterproof ground cloth
      5. foam sleeping pad
      6. stocking cap
    3. Wearing (packed in plastic bags)
      1. hiking boots - well broken in
      2. lightweight sneakers or tennis shoes
      3. 2 pairs heavy wool socks
      4. 3 pairs lighter inner socks (not cotton)
      5. 2-3 changes underwear
      6. 2 hiking shorts
      7. 1 long sleeve shirt
      8. 1 long pants
      9. 2 short sleeve shirts (not nylon)
      10. 1 sweater or sweatshirt (wool/or polypro preferable)
      11. 1 lightweight jacket - windbreaker
      12. 1 hat or cap - flexible, with brim
      13. 1 sturdy rainsuit (A)

      1. deep bowl
      2. cup
      3. spoon
